First Check: Your Domain Name

Do you have to authenticate your domain name? If you do, you receive trust from your subscribers which in turn increases your deliverability.

Domain name authentication in 4 easy steps:

  1. If your domain uses DMARC, authentication is necessary. Too many newsletters would be refused otherwise. We will notify you during step, 1, 5, and 6 of our Roadmap.
  2. Go to Settings à Authentication. Here you find per domain two lines you have to add to the DNS. You can do this yourself, or ask your administrator/IT department to do this.
  3. In Settings à Authentication you select Activate.

Do you need help? Authenticate your domain step by step with our handy guide. If you are still having problems, you can always email our helpdesk (helpdesk@laposta.nl) for assistance.

How Do You Like Your Hostname?

We automatically generate your hostname, and this is the same as the name of your account.

You might want to change it if you do not like it or if you are using your account for multiple senders (affiliates, subsidiaries, etc.). You can change your hostname at Settings à Hostname.

The article How Do I Change My Host Name? might be helpful as well.

Insert Contact Lists

Every new account has one contact list, containing the email address linked to it. We suggest that you use if for testing, turning your own email address into a test address. You can always add more email addresses to this test list later.

You can use API to automatically add your new subscribers to your Laposta contact lists. Alternatively, try to add a (test) Excel file, add extra fields, and try importing your subscribers.
